Añejo Tequila is aged in white oak casks for over a year and must be aged in smaller batches. The lengthy aging process gives the tequila a heavier oak flavor and more complex qualities. The longer aging process creates an añejo tequila that’s a light brownish color.
Mezcals are incredibly complex & contain a full spectrum of flavors that reflect everything invested in making them. They’re actually more similar to wine than other spirits because they are so delicate and express a dictionary’s worth of flavors.
